Jen's Kitchen gets a little dirty

It felt so good to be back out doing Jen's Kitchen last Saturday.
I took a 10 week break for stress relief.
The volunteer I had was another sex worker I use to work the stroll with.
It was so cool to come together and help out our fellow sisters we knew.
We started walking the stroll to hand out sandwiches, when we came accross a lady I knew from my drug use days.
She was just laying on the ground lifeless,we thought we were dealing with an overdose then we heard little cries come from her.
Once we got her to sit up she told us she was high on Herion and started talking about her sexual abuse memories, trying to find out why this had happened to her.
We shared our experinces with physical & sexual abuse in & out of the sex trade.
She started to feel better once knowing that she wasn't the only women in thw world still trying to heal from her wounds of abuse.
Once she stood up we all realized she was laying in dog shit, she started to cry again,we calmed her down letting her know everything was going to be alright.
Then she wanted a hug,so I hugged her back feeling "OH God I better not get dog shit on me".
Turns out I didn't,thank GOD.
We walked her over to the Triage center and stayed with her for the next 2 hours as she had a shower, got high, got new clothes.
We dried her clothes out under a bathroom dryer & still managed to give out food to women inside this center.
Then finally she was done & emontionally stable to be on her way home.
Candice & I just looked at each other and said "Thank GOD that's over with".
You never know what you'll find when doing Jen's Kitchen.

Reaching Out

Here Iam,Lord
All body,heart and soul.
Grant that with your love,I may be big enough to reach the world,And small enough to be one with you.

Human Rights In Action

That was the title of the conference at the Fraser Valley Institution last night.
Every prison human rights group from B.C. was at this Federal Women's prison.
I went with Strenght In Sisterhood (SIS). I was shocked to see all 55 prisoners were in between the ages 20-44.
I got to see them as Jesus does,55 grown adult bodies who had a bunch of scared little children inside them.
We talked to all the prisoners about their Human Rights and what was going on with how the system doesn't hold up their rights in jail.
We broke off into little groups of 6 each, funny enough my group had the Warden of the prison in it.
We let her live!!
There really wasn't words to describe what I saw or felt but I do know
I could feel the spiits of saddness, loneliness, anger, hopelessness, death but most of all I could feel the womens broken down spirits.
I wanted to cry for these women because I could relate to those feelings.
I felt them all when I was a servival sex worker.
That's why I could identify them right away when I walked in to that prison.

Sin

Sin is so addictive & Dangerous
Once you get started you can't stop & just go down hill from there.
Of course Iam drawn toward it because I am a bad girl.
It's really hard to make being a christain fun, cool, rebelious.
So that's why I spend so much time at the prayer room, trying to stay on the stright & norrow.
So pray for me!!

Strange

My Mom E-Mailed me.
She filed for her taxes & is getting her money back.
She want's to pay my airfare to visit her in Whitehorse,Yukon.
Now my mother & I don't get along all that well and I feel a little bit strange about the whole thing.
Last year I went to visit her for the first time in 3 years, that was a waste of time,My first 2 days in was fine then we almost got into fist fights.
I was ready for that event to happen,so I had 614 called the Salvation Army in Whitehorse to let them know don't be surprise if I call to get them to come get me & drive me to the Greyhound.
And they did.
I wonder if it would look bad if I just asked my mom to give me the money instead of going to see her.
Tell me what you guys think.

happiness

Jesus lately has been reminding me that "Money can't buy happiness".I reminded him
"while neither does poverty".
I always love a good debate with Jesus, that's the beauty of authentic relationships.

Quote's Of The week

We learn things about God in suffering that we can't learn any other way.

Every temptation is an opportunity to do good.

while temptation is satan's primary weapon to destroy you,God want's to use it to develop you.

God develops the fruit of the spirit by allowing you to experience circumstances in which you're tempted to express the exact opposite quality.!!
